About

The Washington University in St. Louis men’s squash team was created in Fall 2010 by Luke Shapiro and Zac Bluestone.  Many players with high school experience quickly joined the team.  The first official College Squash Association (CSA) match was against the University of Illinois – Springfield in which Wash U won 9-0.  The team went on to win the Hawthorne Division at Harvard for CSA nationals.  The team now continues to expand and grow to become one of the top teams in the Midwest and the nation.

The women’s team was started by Alexa Lichtenstein with the help of Luke during the 2011-2012 season.  That season, they entered the emerging teams division.  They entered the 9 player division during the 2013-2014 season and have been thriving ever since.
